2014 Native American Heritage Month Commemorative Luncheon
We had a great day at our Native American Heritage Month Luncheon with a great meal plus great networking adding up to a very special event to commemorate Native American Heritage month.
The Chamber presented our 15th annual Warrior Awards to Chairman Jeff L. Grubee (left above) of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians and Toyota, accepted by Monetta Stephens, above right.
We also awarded our annual Chamber College scholarships to five deserving Native American students – shown below standing with Chairman Grubbe.
The scholarship recipients are (l to r) Kellen Hernandez, Alendra-Marie Logan, Kevin Hale, Theresa Stewart and Ray Martin.
This is a big event -- and the annual commemoration of Native American Heritage Month by the Chamber and our friends.
So, join us to celebrate, network and to bond with over 300 fellow Chamber members and our supporters on Thursday, November 20th from 11:00 am to 1:45 pm at the Grand Californian Hotel, Disney Resort in Anaheim.
All Chamber General members receive one ticket with their annual membership. Corporate and Tribal membership levels also come with seats to this events.
We will endeavor to do our best to link up everyone with a procurement partner or strategic networking opportunity during the luncheon seating. Contact Sophia with your "connection wish list".
Self parking is hosted and valet parking is also available for a fee. Drive on up to the main entrance of the Grand Californian to be directed to your selection

The Chamber thanks American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and
its Vice President Anthony Piazza for their kind gift
pledged during last November’s Native American Heritage
Month Luncheon to fund three scholarships for deserving
Native American students.
Seeing the great need for Native student scholarships, Honda “upped the ante” at the luncheon event and announced their support for the next three runners-up to the other annual student awardees whose scholarships were presented during the event – and these next three recipients are also quite deserving, quality students. They are:
Melissa Lewis-Raymond, University of California,
Irvine
Member: Lac Courte Band of Objiwe
Cheyenne Garcia, CSU San Marcos
Member: Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe
Michelle Hoptowit, CSU San Marcos
Member: Yakama Nation
Thanks Honda! And, thanks again to all who support the Scholarship Fund
